Raze Network is built using Substrate Framework, but our product is not limited to one chain.
This is one of the biggest advantage over other privacy-focused projects, which provides just one service for eg Privacy Dex.
On the other hand, Raze Network can connect to any DeFi or Web 3.0 product out there and use their services in an anonymised manner (Lending, Staking, Derivatives, Insurance etc).

Polkadot, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Tron, Ontology etc. DApps built on these chains are our target market, and these dApp users are our ultimate consumers.

Without revealing too much about your tech, how is the anonymisation process handled? I know from my (feeble) knowledge about privacy on the blockchain that some privacy products use an intermediary, like a smart contract that acts as a relay.

Simoly put, we use zkSNARKs alogrithm to achieve this, which sends a data range and not the exact data in transfers.
Raze Network will mainly use three technical modules:
-> Mint: Converts any token into an anonymized version of itself.
-> Redeem: Converts the anonymized token back into its native form.
-> Transfer: Enables the anonymous transfer of the token, conceal the identity of both sender and receiver, and the amount being sent.
It’s a very simple process if you see.
But easy integrations increases its usecase tremendously.

Currently the team is working on substrate smart contracts, which is using zkSNARKs algorithm.
In Roadmap we have Raze Swap, Raze Lending, and Raze Bridges.
A whole privacy-focused ecosystem will be built on our layer 2.

CEXes are the exact opposite of privacy with their KYC requisite. But do you see (at some point) your product compatible with some CEXes, to also anonymise the incoming/outgoing TX’es, or at least part of them ?

One of the issues faced in tradition Merkle Tree algorithms is proof size requirement and slow verification.
This is not an issue with the Shurbs Merkle Tree algorithm we use.
Here, all nodes aren’t required to update their storage spaces in this variant. Let me add an image which explains it clearly:

Devs came together and worked on the initial concept in Q3 2020. Did their initial research, deep-dive, and now we are here! 💪
A lot of members joined us in Q1 2021.
Currently the team consists of 20 members, plus 6 additional advisors.
Out of the 20, 8 are developers.

Most of the supply will go as liquidity reward (40%).
Plus Vault reserves emission (8%) will be governed by community too.
In future RAZE will be a 100% community managed project.

Polkadot is an emerging ecosystem. You can build and upgrade your infrastructure without forking it. You will also not face congestion and high transaction fees on Polkadot.
Plus you can build your own application-specific chain, which can connect to other application specific chains seamlessly.
Such interoperability will open new paths for Decentralised Finance.

What will be the use case of the token itself for regular users? If I hold some RAZE without using the anonymous transfer part, what options will I have? Single asset staking? Liquidity providing?
This leads me to my other question : what will be the “plans”? How much RAZE will I need to own to transfer some funds anonymously?

$RAZE token will be required for all transactions on Raze Network, as a gas token.
This is one of the biggest utilities for $RAZE token.
As we are a layer-2 solution, all transactions will be fast and cheap. So you won’t need much dollar worth amount of $RAZE to make transactions.
About other token utilities:
- $RAZE is a privacy-preserving token, and will also act as a Governance-token.
Community will be able to propose changes in the protocol, and then vote on it to implement the changes.
- $RAZE token will also be used to provide liquidity reward, to incentivise the liquidity in the decentralised ecosystem.
- Also a small portion of the transaction fee will be burned, thus $RAZE supply will be deflationary.

Different markets are being targetted.
Though Phala also make use of Smart contracts at stages, but their focus in on cloud computing.
What Raze Network focuses on is connecting to all dApps and Chains in the crypto ecosystem.
We are not limited to one product or service as already told, but markets are different so both have much room to grow.
