So DefHold aims to become a platform offering a wide range of traditional financial products converted into innovative DeFi products.
As you might have noticed we’ll release our 2 first products in the next days

Let’s start with the Whale Club

Basically, it’ll work as a decentralized investment fund. However, unlike traditional funds there won’t be any centralized manager. Investors will be able to choose the projects where they want the funds to get invested in as well as choose the entry and exit time. This product will offer them a buying power similar to a Whale.
Initially there will be 3 funds with different minimum investment amounts which will also determine the minimum liquidity requirement of the underlying assets. These requirements had to be implemented to avoid scenarios where $300,000 would be invested into a project having only $50,000 as liquidity.

Regarding the staking platform, it’ll be based on an EWF mechanism which will apply a “penalty” fee to people withdrawing their assets before the lock-up period is over.
Thereafter, these fees will be distributed to every remaining stakers.
Additionally, we’ve also recently added a feature allowing every ERC-20 tokens to be staked on our platform thus offering an increased exposure to DEFO.

Basically, every token traded on uniswap can be proposed as assets to be purchased by the vault. The sole requirement to be met will be the liquidity amount.
Moreover, we have also concluded a partnership with Block Insight who will perform evaluations and reviews of several projects which will then be also proposed in the Whale Club.
This will enable people to get investment opportunities into safer projects.

Yes, as there is an entrance fee amounting to 5% and a profit-sharing of 5% (allocated to stakers/farmers), the community will be able to change these figures in the future.
However, the proposal, vote, buying and selling phases will immediately be decentralized. These phases will be fully controlled by the Whale Club investors.

Question from @Novreysa90 The division into VIP staking and normal staking confused me a little. Tell us about the conditions in these two types of staking. And don’t you think that late investors will have little motivation to enter the project knowing that only regular staking awaits them? After all, they will not just find themselves in the worst conditions , but in fact, absolutely no guarantees, unlike investors from VIP staking.

The main revenues for stakers and farmers will come from the EWF paid by those withdrawing their assets too early.
Moreover, to guarantee minimum revenues to the stakers/farmers, the entrance fee + profit sharing of the Whale Club will also be distributed to them.
The latter will be applied to every future product of the ecosystem

The main difference between them is that VIP pools are only accessible to presale investors who haven’t sold any of their tokens.
You’re right that in the VIP pool people get a known minimum APY. However, as they were the early investors and placed their trust into our project, we truly think they have to be rewarded for that.
Regarding the normal staking, there’s no guaranteed APY, but the revenues could be even higher to those of the VIP pool as they’ll be based on the amount of early withdrawals. (Bloody days such as today could give you awesome returns 😅)

There are a lot of actual and future competitors especially regarding our global staking platform. However, our 1st objective is to propose different products from what exists in the market currently.
Think that with our Whale Club and EWF pools we have already quite new products. Additionally, we’re already working on 3 products which we plan to release during the Q1 2021. Again these products intend to really bring new features to investors.
What we really want to avoid is become a copycat or fork of another project and just change some rates, duration, etc

Regarding exchanges, we’re currently listed on uniswap, bilaxy, coinsbit and whitebit.
Our plan was always to limit the amount of exchanges and focus on the greatest ones. So think for the moment, we have enough exchanges to let people also trade on CEX. Next time we’ll announce a listing it’ll only be a Tier 1 CEX
As regards to the team, we plan to stay anonymous for several reasons. It is why we decided to launch our presale on LID platform to ensure that liquidity is locked properly as well as the team tokens

1) The decentralization is one of our major concern especially regarding our future Whale Club. Once it’ll be live, every Whale Club investors will get access to a private area for the different investment phases.
This private area won’t even be accessible by the admins of the project thus bringing real decentralization into our product.
